Ancient Indian Sacred Architecture

My Part 1 dissertation was specifically linked to Indian Temples as India is an inspirational country in relation to sacred Architecture. The culture is one which tends to harmonize the buildings with nature in many ways and therefore opens up a field of architectural exploration.

Thomas Fuller, a known writer and historian once stated, ‘Light, God's eldest daughter, is a principal beauty in a building.'' This is an aspect I would like to incorporate into my designs as I believe architecture is not just about building something that looks aesthetically pleasing but also being able to make a connection between the client and his environment.
